Welcome to Loving God. Loving People.
This book is for anyone seeking to know and love God. It is designed to help you follow Jesus and help others to do the same. It’s a discipleship journey for all—seekers, new believers, mature believers, and disciple makers—covering foundational Christian principles with Scripture for study, reflection, and discussion.
We all need vision and direction, and God gives us His Word as our guide. Loving God, Loving People is based on two of Jesus' key teachings: the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
In the Great Commandment, Jesus emphasizes wholehearted love for God and others as the heart of discipleship. The Great Commission calls us to share the gospel, make disciples, and teach obedience to Jesus' teachings.
With Jesus as our guide, our goal is to grow as disciples and help others do the same by asking, “Are we growing in love for God and people?”
