ALYSIA GRIMES
Alysia Grimes is a Bible teacher, speaker, and founder of Oasis Ministries. For more than 30 years, she has been equipping women through Bible studies, discipleship groups, conferences, mentoring relationships, and leadership training. Her passion is helping women understand and apply God's Word in ways that lead to lasting transformation and a deeper relationship with Christ.
In 2023, Alysia launched Oasis Ministries to create opportunities for women to study Scripture, discover and develop their spiritual gifts, grow as disciples, and encourage one another across churches and denominations. Through Bible studies, training events, conferences, and online resources, Oasis seeks to engage and equip women for a lifetime of following Jesus.
She earned a Master’s in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering from NCSU. She and her husband, JT, are members of Two Cities Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where JT serves as an Elder.
A significant influence in Alysia's life was a mentor who taught her how to study and teach the Bible and invested deeply in her spiritual growth. That experience shaped her lifelong commitment to discipleship and continues to fuel her desire to help women know Christ, love His Word, and invest in others.
JEN CROWDER
The mission of She Is Emboldened (SIE) is to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus and apply the Bible to their lives. This includes resources for how to study the Bible, how to apply theology to your everyday life, and how to lead others. We hope to encourage women to follow the Lord with boldness and grace.
We see in scripture that when the Holy Spirit was at work in people, they demonstrated a boldness that can only be explained by God working in and through them. It requires courage to follow Jesus well, and we pray that Christ-followers would have a dependence on God that allows them to do far beyond what they could ever accomplish on their own. We also pray that SIE would be a place to fill women with the courage to be faithful to Jesus in all aspects of their lives.
Our main passion is to show people that following Jesus is so much more than going to church and doing good things. It’s neither of those things! You’ll get lots of glimpses into how we do family, marriage, friendship, work, and more because of our faith in Jesus.
